Most of us know about the quote " Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice ", I have lived my whole life looking up to that quote as a guideline. Whatever happened in my life today and wherever I may be in the future, I will be the one taking responsibility of what path I have decided to take.
I was so shocked and confused last weekend when an old friend of mine back in college blamed me of what happened to our other friend! I was speechless when she told me that our friend got married to a non-christian guy because of me not helping her despite the fact that I am here in the United States.
I just want to clarify something;
1. I decided to come here in the United States not because I want to bail out everybody!
2. I came here because I am getting married to my fiancee.
3. I came here not to bust my ass off working just to make someone else's life comfortable!
4. Lastly, I came here without promising anybody that I will help them when I knew the fact that I am gambling my whole damn life because I don't even know where I am going to and beside the point that we had these massive seminar trying to convince us not to go because of these unfortunate incidents that a lot of Filipinos has been a victim of and I even knew some of them!
And now you have the nerve to tell me that it is my damn fault that she got married to that guy because I never helped her????
Hello! I didn't make your destiny! It is you who choose your destiny! It is your damn choices to go to that particular path and I don't even know any of it.
So stop blaming me...

Discovery
Last night we decided to eat at Carrabba's which is only a block away from our store. So we took a walk instead of driving but when we get there the people were in line waiting to be seated. We are not the kind of people who will wait (maybe 10 minutes at the most) that long and based on what we saw it was at least 30-minute wait because I look around and there were no empty tables at all plus all the people already on the line ahead of us. Instead we walk across the street where Perkins restaurant and bakery is located. We never been there but it was our old employee's favorite place to eat. It wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. What I like is they have bakery where I can just buy and take it home which what I did since I can't eat anymore because I was so full.
Our dinner turned out to be pretty good and the most important thing is we enjoy their food.

A monster inside me
Today my husband and I supposed to go to my mother in laws' house for a gathering and a birthday party for our brother in law's birthday but I blew it this morning. My monstrous attitude just evaded me and I decided not to go. My husband was already committed so he just went there alone without me. It was just a tiny little outburst that I probably regretted doing but what can I do? I am just human and very pregnant.
So sorry guys, I just can't help it even though i tried!

Back on track
Our weather now is very nice, not very cold yet nor very warm. Today is my gym day and I am thankful that it's a nice day because I made it to the water class after my regular machine exercises. I haven't done my step class anymore for the safety of my baby and now I missed it terribly but I am trying to vary my exercises to have fun while working out.
Water class is safe for me and I enjoy doing it even before and great weather is just a big help since I hate going to the water when it's cold even though the water temperature is warmer. I hate coming out and feel the cool weather after the class.
Thank goodness we got our Sunshine State weather back!

Meeting a friend
My friend who is 32 weeks pregnant and I (23 weeks pregnant) decided to meet and have lunch yesterday. We just ate at the local Chinese buffet and then went to the Burlington Coat factory store. Of course we wanted to see each other again since we haven't seen each for almost a year now and wanted to know what new with her and she wanted to see me pregnant too since this my first pregnancy. I invited my other friend but she couldn't make it but it's okay. We have plenty of next time right? We have chit-chatted a whole bunch of stuff and I kinda like to do it once in awhile to kinda know what is going with our other friends. I don't really go to a lot of friends get together because the I get involve the more trouble I will get into(in my opinion), I am just observing and I hate rumors and talking behind each others back that's why I don't go to much.
We had fun and of course we are like hey you'll go to my baby shower right? and I'll say you'll go to my baby shower too right? It's hilarious but I had fun.

Superbowl Week
Having to go through the traffic at the stadium all this time of the week is not very pleasant. We have been using the road every day where the stadium is for four years and now it's crazy to see all these craziness going on. All these new construction they are having in the area is overwhelming. I know Superbowl is a big deal in America but having able to experience and see all these changes they are making everyday as we passed by every single day and see each additional construction they have made. It's getting crazy from now on and I know after the Superbowl is over, getting out of town will the hardest thing because everybody will be trying to get out of town at the same time. But hey, it Superbowl Doug! Maybe the most watch event in America!

4 Years and counting
Today is a very memorable day for me and my husband because it marks the 4th year of our marriage. We have been together for four years now and I can say that we have been trying hard to cultivate and nurture our relationship with love and respect to stay together. I know all relationships has ups and downs as well as our, it's not always easy but there's always love that bond us together and even though we had to make big adjustments since we came from different cultures and we have a big age difference but all these 4 years has been a happy and enjoyable time together. Now that we are done our traveling and we are in the process of expanding our family, we are so blessed that everything turns so well for us.
For my Hunny Bunny Happy 4th Anniversary and I will always love you!

Weird Encounter
I have a late and unexpected reaction last night when I had this weird encounter with a man. My husband and I went to the post office to mail a package. After we mail and after all the chit chat with the employee, I turned around to go when I bump into the guy next to me. I immediately say I'm sorry! then the guy was just like out of this world and he got mad and my husband reacted to his reaction because I was apologetic to begin with and I never expected him to get mad when I just bump into him and usually most if not all reaction is "it's ok, don't worry and even with a smile". After my husband said she already said sorry sir, and guy told my husband get away from me.
The strange guy's reaction just gave me this scary feeling that is very new to me. I just never expect that reaction to someone especially after you said sorry and it wasn't that big of an incident. Maybe I am just assuming too much.
Hopefully the guy will have fun life!

Chilly Weather
Oh man, it has been unbelievably cold here in Florida. We are experiencing a cold front and our weather temperature dropped down anywhere from 20's to 50's. Florida which is known as the Sunshine State, that low of temperature is so unusual and very chilly. We are not comfortable about wearing coats and jackets since we are used to Bikini, tank tops, shorts and flip flops. What can we do when nature has to do it course? Just ride along with it!
Be warm and wear those socks folks

Top Killer in America
I was going to bed while my husband was watching Television the other night and I stop and watch it with him because it was all about the top killer in America. I was curios about the subject and wonder what is really the number 1 Killer here in America.
I only saw the 5-10 minutes of the show. The countdown was already at number 4 killer which was related to a spider bite which was a virus and the guy just ignored the symptoms which includes persistent headache and he was claimed dead on arrival at the hospital. The number 3 was ALCOHOL ABUSE which is I think very common to all of us. The number 2 was OBESITY and of course the number killer is SMOKING and I can't ask any questions but agree to it because every time I am out I have seen individual smoking. I personally know someone that I wish just quit smoking for the sake of her health but it's easy to wish than see her quit.
I even research about the show and I think it was excerpt from Dr. G's New Book, How Not to Die. I wanted to include these 10 lessons that might be helpful all the readers.

- Know your numbers.
You'll live a longer and healthier life when your body mass index (BMI) is under 25. It may be possible to have a full life span with a somewhat higher BMI (25-29) if you stay in good shape, but in no event should you tolerate a BMI over 29. Aiming for 24 should be your goal. The adverse health effects of obesity are multiple and avoidable. - Listen to your body.
If something doesn't feel right or you have an unusual pain that causes concern, pay attention to it. See your doctor and find an answer. Be proactive about your health and seek help early. Get regular physicals and have appropriate screening tests. - Use as directed.
So many things in life come with instructions-and for good reason. Instructions tell us how to do things right so we won't get hurt or injure others. To increase your odds of living a long and fulfilling life: Take your medicine as directed, follow your doctor's orders, and obey posted and written rules. - Practice good hygiene.
This advice isn't just your mother nagging you, either. Studies show that the more often you wash your hands, the less likely you are to get sick. Keeping your hands clean is one of the best ways to avoid illness. Along those same lines, use condoms when needed, since HIV is largely transmitted through sexual contact. Nearly 60 percent of AIDS cases diagnosed since 1981 could have been prevented by using condoms. - Drive carefully.
The tendency to take chances on the highway that can land you in traffic court can just as easily land you in the morgue. Wear a seat belt when driving and a helmet when bike riding. Don't drink or do drugs and drive. Observe all rules of the road. - Just say no.
Smoking is one of the best ways to ensure you'll wind up in the morgue. Get help to quit, if necessary. A little bit of alcohol may be healthy, but more than moderate amounts are not. Don't mess with recreational and illicit drugs, and don't abuse prescription drugs. The less you put of these things in your body, the greater your chances of being around for a long time to come. - Watch your step.
Think about the consequences of your actions. Sure, I see some unavoidable accidents in the morgue, but a large percentage could have been prevented, and that includes most car accidents. I have the choice of only five manners of death on the death certificate: homicide, suicide, natural, accident, and undetermined. If I could add another, it would be "stupidity." It's difficult to say a cause of death is an accident when the decedent's death was clearly avoidable if he or she had applied a little thinking to the situation. - Have a good time.
What's important isn't whether you got all of the food stains off your blouse or shirt. It's whether you had a good time at the picnic, the candlelit dinner, or the ice cream store with your kids. If you enjoyed yourself, then the experience was well worth it, whether your clothes looked good afterward or not. As you go through life, have fun and get a daily dose of vitamin H. Humor — through laughter and smiling — eases the burdens of life. - Don't go it alone.
Relationships are important to me. Life revolves around them, and it shows in our health. People who maintain close relationships live longer and more healthily. Tap into the healing network of family and friends, neighbors and colleagues, so that when stressful, difficult times come, you'll have supportive people all around. It may sound corny, but caring for others helps us care for ourselves and brings added meaning to our lives. - Remember what matters.
There's one thing that I'd like my kids to remember about me: I cared. I cared about my family, and I always put them first. We all need to clarify what's truly important and set priorities that make sense for us. When all is said and done, it's not how many years you live, it's what you do with those years.
#1 relationship mistake
I was browsing online and saw this interesting article in the front page of the website. It is about how women handle their relationships. As a woman and being in a relationship it definitely catches my eye and read it. I learned that two individuals are rushing everything especially the girl which she found out that their relationship will not survive in the long run. So now she wanted to break up the relationship and the guy took it the hard way. It made her think that she just wasted all her time and if she just didn't rush things before she could have save both their time.
Some experts say that jumping into bed too soon is the #1 relationship mistake women make now. Not to get all prudish, but it might be a good idea to wait a little—for better sex and stronger love.
So ladies, you might want to think things over and might want to get to know the guy first before going to bed with him!
